►Step-by-Step◄
-Start out with clean, dry nails and apply your base coat
-(Optional) Protect around your nails with liquid latex or your barrier of choice
-Use a glitter gradient as your base
-In your cup of water create a bullseye using 2 colors and a clear (I like using matte)
-Using an orange stick draw in your design then carefully dip in your nail(s)
-Clear any excess polish from the surface, then slowly pull your finger(s) out
-Remove protection if used and clean up around the edges
-Finish with top coat!

This is an outstanding manicure! Bravo! I’ve used clear polish so the under layer can peak through but it’s been a while so I can’t remember if the results were good or bad. What made you think to use the matte top coat? It worked so well!

As I watched you do the Amethyst Advent, I thought of the 12 birthstones. Got to wondering which of these I would associate with each birthstone. Here is my list for birthstone water marbles:
Day 1: Shimmering Snow Drifts Water Marble: Pearl (June)
Day 2: Sugar Plum Water Marble: ????
Day 3: Arctic Whirlpool Water Marble: Blue Topaz (December)
Day 4: Merry Cranberry Water Marble: Garnet (January)
Day 5: Snowy Evergreen Water Marble: Peridot (August)
Day 6: Glacial Glimmer Water Marble: Sapphire (September)
Day 7: Opulent Ornament Water Marble: Emerald (May)
Day 8: Mulled Wine Water Marble: Ruby (July)
Day 9: Northern Lights Water Marble: Opal (October) (add a bit of white and it would be even better for Opal)
Day 10: Gilded Teal Gift Wrap Water Marble: Aquamarine (March)
Day 11: Amethyst Advent Water Marble: Amethyst (February)
Day 12: Chocolate Caramel Water Marble: Citrine (November)
Only one I could not find a good water marble for is Diamond (April). If the first one (Shimmering Snow Drifts) had more sparkle to it, that could be diamond. But then there would be no pearl. There are several water marbles here that could work for more than one birthstone (Gilded Teal Gift Wrap and Arctic Whirlpool for December, Sugar Plum and Amethyst Advent for February, Mulled Wine and Merry Cranberry for January/Garnet OR July/Ruby – though Merry Cranberry does have a bit more of the orange tinge so I picked that for January).
