不世出の天才プレイヤー。
インタビューの記事で、「引退を決めテニスの日数を減らしたら、逆に身体が言うことを聞くようになった。思いっきりプレーできるおかげでテニスを嫌いになったまま引退することがなくなりそう」と話しているのを見かけて泣きそうになりました。
最後までその勇姿を目に焼き付けます。
全盛期付近も、出る大会を減らせらば、もしかしたら選手寿命も実績ももっとよかったかもしれないよね。タラレバだけど…
本人もスマッシュを打ち切れないあたり、自分の限界をしっかり分かっているはず。しかし、だからこそこの試合のようなトップ選手たるプレーができている。
I was wondering what happened to Jerry Shang just the other day. I am glad to see him playing again, he was one of my favorite up and comers and to keep an eye on, then it was like he just disappeared. Happy to see Nishikori playing again and playing well at that. I wish both of them the best.

Great to see Kei at his 36 so passionately playing such high tennis level, back to Big3 Big 4 era, Kei was really something, beat all of those tennis legends at least once, if it weren't for the injury, Kei could have achieved much more, perhaps even a Grand Slam
