That's cos he has a lot of fun doing it and he feels each and every note down to his bones and knows exactly which key would make what sound and where they are and what kind of sound a combination of them would make before actually making them. It's not easy but it's probably harder for him to play any other way than the way he does.
And I also love the fact that he's built like someone who plays rough sports but nooo here's this pretty big guy playing the piano instead. And not just skillfully but soulfully too.

This is a really old Japanese popular song about 50 years ago. This is a video from 6 years ago, in which Brother Sora plays the piano and Kaze , who wears sunglasses, plays the saxophone. It's dark and weird, but pay attention to Kaze at the end.
