Today I am sharing my swatches and review of the recently released Holo Taco Holoween nail polish collection. There are 6 polishes in total, in varying formulas. 1 polish in this release is limited edition: Simply Deceased and the rest are permanent shades. There is also a limited edition supercarton, and individual cartons. I tested how these polishes compare to others in my collection. Holo Taco separately released a new seasonal glow in the dark top coat: Aqua Glow In The Dark Taco that I tried out here as well.

I was honestly so disappointed by the last few releases. I lost my Purple Slushee and no cool purples have been brought back. I also find this release so…boring? Like, yes the slime color is COOL but I'm never going to wear it and I don't wear reds.
And having a cool-toned VIVID purple of ANY formula would nice 😅

Longest? Naps and Nails' "I was a drab little crab once, now I'm beautiful Bae-beh!"😆from the June 2025 LBH Sinister Seas theme. It's a perfect tribute to Tamatoa – the fabulously villainous crab from Moana – with a trove of reflective multichrome glitters – that just don't quit – packed into an amazingly gorgeous deep royal purple. Definitely one of my collection favorites.
Whale. I got the box. And oh my gourd, resting witch face, sticky base and aqua glow 🤦🏻♀️ I should be stopped 😂💜🧡🖤💚
I already have a lot a lot of Halloween polishes, so I can't justify buying the entire collection. But I'm glad Holo Taco released a Halloween collection, and I'm wresting with the temptation to buy Simply Deceased, Dead Serious, and Aqua Glow.
That blooper at the end was so cute! I love your surprised laugh+ falling over! I'm always curious how many takes you have to shoot for your intros because of laughter. Speaking of which, the intro was so fun- love the smol cowboy ghost!
Halloween is my favorite time of year! I'm so excited for your videos this month- I don't do nail art typically, but I'd love to get better at it. I still go to your previous videos for inspiration, even if I don't always end up painting my nails. And those nail stickers look SO CUTE! I loved the way they looked with the glow in the dark tacos!
I have mixed feelings about solid-colored crellies (either I've had crellies, or just poorly formulated cremes in the past). On the one hand, I love layering various different colors together to make a new one. On the other hand, if I want JUST that color, it's really frustrating to build up. :/
I like the Glow in the Dark Tacos more than the nail polishes in this collection. I've been so excited to buy the green one, and the blue one looks even more amazing! The Simply Deceased also looks cool, but since I've been wearing my nails super short lately, I'm not sure how much enjoyment I would get with thermals on my nails. I think I'd be happier buying your collab polish instead (also, excited to see one of your polishes in the comparison swatches!!!)
I never liked the look of giant flakeys before your videos, but they're slowly growing on me. I'm wearing just a topcoat with flakeys right now! They're Sally Hansen ones, no base color, just a quick thing I did for a Pink theme we did at my work yesterday. I think I'd like to redo this with a base coat, then grab all of my glitters with no base colors and go ham! Probably would be a texture nightmare, but otherwise fun!
Now to find the patience to actually paint my nails this weekend and let them dry!
I hate both crellies and jellies. it should only be cremes and if you can't get it to full opacity in 2 coats it's trash.

I'm with you on crelly polishes – with the way I wear polish, I would always rather have a creme.
I had to pickup the thermal…. and i dont like thermals usually. And trick or trash is everything had to get that to. Im not a huge plain crellie or creme fan so i skipped those. Ill eventually get the neon green i think lol
And i want thirst trap for Christmas haha it's super pretty. I grabbed some of the camping collection and finally got my fallen flake taco 😂
I was wearing Rhinestone Cowboy last week and my BF actually commented how much he likes it. We have been together 10 years, I never have naked nails, and this is the first polish he has EVER noticed 😂

i am proud to support HT when they let creators try their polishes and be 100% honest even if they don’t love them. and continue to send them PR. that’s integrity

Personally I love a more camp Halloween vibe, so Thirst Trap's cartoonishly bright red made it a must buy for me! It looks like the inside of a cheap vampire cape from Spirit Halloween 😂

This is the first collection in a while that I felt was reasonably cohesive….that being said, I recently swatched this Rodeo collection that had much more cohesion and made my fall heart swoon. You did so well with your collab and the little details Tyler's Trinkets includes really maked the handmade element shine.
I'm a red lover so holoween with many reds was for me, but I made a joke about Thirst Trap being arterial blood…but was ultimately like "nah, she's cherry"

The green is for me! I’ve asked for an acid green from HT for ages 😅 actually I asked for basically this exact lineup during the survey except I wanted a fuchsia purple instead but I do like the vampy eggplant look.
We have three spaniels, and I do my own gel extensions. Nothing like discovering after you've finished a set that there is a dog hair baked into a finished nail!

I got the bundle but not the GITD. I've only used the og twice so didn't see the need for another one I'll barely use.
Also re:itchy boy, have you tried cytopoint shots? They help so much for my girl with terrible seasonal allergies

Im a video editor and wanted to leave a note about the dissolves. Be careful of where the cuts are in your footage, as you can see the jump into the next shot at times. This happens when there is not enough handles in the shot recorded or the dissolves go over the cuts you have made. Hope this helps!

14:30 the longest polish name that I know/ have is: "eeeeeee urrrrrrrrrr deedle deedle screeeelllllllll ee ee ee blurrrrrrblurblur" by. Girly Bits! It's named after the sound of an internet modem. LOL!
I too am waiting for a blue green metallic foil flakie topper from HT. I love Fallen Flake taco so much, I want a blue version. I wish they would just release jellies, crellies are tricky to get even.
